The Covenant Presbyterian Church delegation arrived today at the Pastoral House. Yay! They were wet but in good spirits. They got a tour of the house, met the Pastoral Team, and met the duck and my little birds. Dinner was wonderful: tortillas with cheese, casamiento (rice and beans), and hard boiled eggs. After dinner they assembled packets that they are going to deliver to their sister community, San Isidro, when they do the door-to-door census. They’ve brought acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin, band-aids, toothbrush, and toothpaste. They also have a card signed by members of their church for each family. For the school they brought a ton of books in English and Spanish for the school. And God willing, hopefully without rain, we’ll be able to visit the community on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week.

Those packages are coming just in time! That is going to be a great way to lift peoples rain soaked spirits.
What a wonderful gift of meds, supplies & books the delegation brought -- especially at this time. I'm glad the "bird duo" can add a smile to your face.
I was glad to hear that they were able to reach the cantons despite all the rain.
